Do you, or a loved one, need a place to hang your ties?

Well, look no further my friends. I have a solution, and all your tie organizing problems can go away today.

No! This is not a pathetic washboard. This is amazing Dollar Store tie rack!
My Brother in law has a bajillion ties. Ok, not a bajillion, more like 70 something. My sister saw these cooling racks in the Dollar store and asked if we could find a way to make it into a tie rack.
Here is what we came up with…

Supplies:
One set of Dollar Store cooling racks
18 inches of grosgrain ribbon
4 small zip ties
Scissors
A scrap of sand paper

1. Lay your cooling racks next to each other so the bars are running horizontally.
Now zip tie your two racks together. Attach your center zip tie at a diagonal to keep it from slipping. Follow picture. Be sure to cinch the ties up nice and tight.

2. We are putting our third zip tie at the top. Attach the tie between the first two bars like in the picture. Don’t cinch this zip tie all the way. Snip off the ends of all the zip ties. If the ends are a little scratchy, use some sand paper to file it smooth.

3. Grab your ribbon and run it through the top zip tie. I knotted the ends of my ribbon, but you could finish them off however you like.

Your tie rack is ready to be worn.

4. Tie your tie rack to the bar in your closet and start hanging some ties.

Layer those bad boys up and marvel at you super easy organizing project.
I think I want a window in my next closet. A window will give much better lighting, don’t you think?
