Here we go again.
My sister, Noelle, pointed out that I sew/craft when I am nervous or anxious as a way to destress. I had never thought of that before, but I think she was right. Before I left to help her photograph a wedding, I had to sew a quick bag. Last year before we went out of town, I turned a t-shirt into a jumper for Collin. Last night I was so excited about Davis’ first day of school, I decided to make something for his lunch box.

I grabbed a scrap of fabric and sewed up a little treat bag. I sewed a hair elastic to the top to keep it closed. On the way to school this morning, I told Davis there was a special stripped bag in his lunch box. After he ate his lunch he was supposed to open the stripped bag.

As I was setting things out last night before bed, I had a last minute craft I couldn’t get out of my head. I used a plastic craft organizer to hold all of D’s food. The plastic is white and boring. It needed a little something extra. I searched for a mustache graphic online, but ended up printing one from picnik. I carefully cut it out and mod podged it on. I know it won’t last, but maybe I will change the design up every week. It would have been cool if I had a Silhouette machine to cut one out of vinyl. Oh well!!

One year older and a little wiser too.
I can’t believe my big boy is a 1st grader. He had a rough time waking up, but jumped out of the car like an old pro. Davis came home very excited about his new teacher and class. I think this is a great start for a new year.
